Pont Champlain - Hertel Viger lign

Montreal

Description

As part of the construction of the New St-Lawrence Bridge (NPSL) to replace the Champlain Bridge, Infrastructure Canada, responsible for supervising the bridge project, asked Hydro-Québec to relocate a section of the 315-kV line Hertel - Viger to make room for the new bridge. A 1.9 km section of this 315 kV line mounted on tubular pylons is to be moved approximately 150 meters. This move requires the construction of 8 new tubular pylons, one of which is the highest ever built in Quebec to a height of 77 meters.
