À propos du projet
69 kV line dismantling
Secteur(s) d'activité High-voltage transmission lines
Description
Dismantling of approximately 50 km of 69 kV transmission lines connecting the Grand-Mère and Turcotte substations to the Bourdais substation, including a total of 277 steel and wood structures. Given the age of the circuits (1968), extensive precautions were required to prevent unintended tower collapses.
The schedule was extremely tight, with all work to be completed under winter conditions. In addition, complex public-protection methodologies had to be developed due to the close proximity of infrastructure and residential areas, as well as numerous roads, supply and distribution lines, and quad/snowmobile trails running through the worksite.
